It opened with the band Holly Miranda. They were really good. Their website has a lot of music on it, so if you are interested, give it a listen. Next was Steel Train. A group of 5 good-looking guys playing instruments. :) I liked them too, but I think I enjoyed Holly Miranda more. Overall: good opening bands.
Tegan and Sara played a bunch of songs, old and new. They were surprisingly hilarious. I didn't really know what to expect from them as far as how they would interact with the audience, but they gave us a lot of attention and talked quite a bit. In the words of Tegan on downloading music illegally, "What is the world fucking coming to when my mom is illegally downloading music?" Haha. They were great in that way, but their music was amazing. I love when I can go to a show and the group I am seeing sounds as good live as they do recorded. Here are a few shots I got at the show.
